Delivery rooms
There is full obstetrician and midwife cover in our three delivery rooms 24 hours a day. One of the rooms is equipped with wall bars and ropes. In addition, there is a room for reception and anamnesis. Further information as to delivery rooms
Information evening
Our staff will inform you on all services offered before, during and after childbirth. Afterwards, we will be taking mothers-to-be on a privately guided tour of the department to help you to become familiar with it. Contact person:

Midwife consultation hours
The consultation hours of our midwives take place on Wednesdays from 14.00 to 18.00 hours. Appointments for childbirth can be made here. Interested mothers-to-be or couples can register for courses preparing for childbirth and will be informed as to questions concerning birth, gymnastics for pregnant women etc. If you wish, you can visit the delivery rooms.
Acupuncture consultation hours
We employ acupuncture mainly to soothe discomforts during your pregnancy, to prepare women for labour as well as for the correction of breech presentation. Please, make an appointment at our delivery room, phone: +49.6431.292-4460.
Courses preparing for childbirth for women and couples
Our midwives offer courses preparing for childbirth from the 30th week of pregnancy on. These courses take place in the classroom on the third floor. The main focuses of the course are:
- Breathing exercises
- Relaxation techniques
- Gymnastics for pregnant women
- Information on childbirth
Duration: Five evenings, 1.5 to 2 hours each, including a tour of the delivery room. Please, make an appointment at our delivery room. On request, we also offer weekend courses.
Water gymnastics for pregnant women
Mothers-to-be can take part in this course from the 28th week of pregnancy on. It takes place in the kinetotherapeutic bath in the department of physical therapy in the 1st basement.
Appointed times:
Mondays from 18.00 to 19.00 hours
Tuesdays from 19.00 to 20.00 hours
Main focuses of the course are relaxation exercises, breathing exercises, exercises stimulating the circulation and water gymnastics. Please, make an appointment at our delivery room.
Childbed gymnastics
During your stay after delivery you can take part in involution gymnastics. You will be instructed by members of the team of the department of physical therapy. The exercises will support involution processes such as the involution of the overstrained musculature of the pelvic bottom and perinaeum, the involution of the overexpanded muscles of abdomen and the involution of uterus. Childbed gymnastics takes place from Monday to Friday in the classroom on the third floor.
Baby massage
Baby massage helps to deepen the bond between parents and child. Regular massage furthers the motoric development and fosters the child's perception. From the 6th week of its life on, you and your child can take part in a course.

Babycare course for parents-to-be
The course takes place in the classroom on the third floor on the last Thursday of month.
Begin: 18.30.
Duration: about 1.5 hours

- Bathing and washing
- Handling a baby
- Care products – What is necessary?
- Basic equipment – What do we need at home?

Baby swimming
Babies from the 3rd month of their lives up can take part in this course. On Mondays from 17.00 to 18.00 hours, the children will be introduced to the water by a midwife. Together with their parents, they learn to glide through the water with ease. Please, make an appointment at our delivery room.
Breastfeeding counsel
Pregnant women, mothers and fathers with children and other interested persons are heartily welcome to our breastfeeding counsel. We offer advice to groups as well as to single persons.
