The feeling of warmth and security for mothers, fathers and children alike is of utmost importance on a modern obstetric ward, and we are proud to be able to provide it. Our team consists of seven midwives conducted by Barbara Martin, a pool of competent doctors conducted by Dr Peter Scheler and many children's nurses. All of them contribute to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere on a ward which is beautifully decorated in warm colours and features everything needed to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

In individual preliminary conversations our midwives try to find out how the mother wants to experience birth.

Of course, Barbara Martin's team also offers help in case of discomforts during your pregnancy.

We offer:

We also provide alternatives to conventional delivery in supine position: More and more mothers decide on water birth, with the modern birth tub providing relaxing conditions for gentle childbirth. Outpatient childbirth combines the safety of delivery within the clinical centre with the comforts of the domestic environment. In order to avoid risks for mother and child in childbed, please contact one of our midwives before the outpatient childbirth and talk with your gynaecologist. Our midwife will then come to see you daily. Of course, a good reason for visiting us again after delivery is baby swimming!

The delivery room team meets up on the first Tuesday of each month at 19.00 hours. The meeting point is on the third floor: wait zone in front of the delivery room. In order to be able to answer all questions concerning childbirth as individually as possible, parents-to-be can make an appointment with one of our midwives and visit the delivery room on that occasion. If you want to make an appointment, please call +49.6431.292-4460.
