Information for patients / Hygiene in hospital

Modern hygiene does not focus on the disinfection of hands or instruments in the first place anymore. Beyond these traditional tasks it also covers all exogenous factors which influence the health and well-being of the individual patient, such as water and air hygiene and waste disposal.

All facilities which affect the patient are controlled as to hygiene according to a fixed schedule in our house. The central sterilisation service department is the centrepiece of hygiene. All instruments are sterilised at 134 degrees centigrade after a disinfectant wash. Good quality management guarantees regulated measurements, analyses and controls. Since October 2002 we are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000.

Furthermore, all air conditioning systems in operating rooms and elsewhere as well as all water bearing systems are controlled and maintained regularly in order to guarantee immaculate hygienic conditions for diagnosis and therapy.
