Information for patients / art exhibitions:
The series of exhibitions entitled "art in the hospital" offers native artists an interesting possibility for the presentation of their works. Quite often the spectator has to overcome a certain fear of entering a gallery – this is not the case here. For many of our not bedridden patients it is a welcome diversion to view the exhibited works in our entrance hall. The respective exhibition are organised by the "Foerderverein bildende Kunst der Stadt Limburg" (which is the city's association for the furthering of art) or the hospital itself. The exhibitions include graphic art, etchings and lithography, watercolours, pictures in oil and acrylics, batik printings, silk paintings as well as wooden, cast-bronze or steel sculptures, glass paintings or icons.
