Your room
After inpatient admission the patient's room will be your temporary home. This new surroundings may feel a bit odd at first, as most of the things in it are designed according to medical and nursing requirements. However, everything there is serves only one purpose: your health and well-being.
In order to help you in getting accustomed to your new surroundings, we would like to give some important information on your room and bed in the following. However, do not hesitate to ask our nursing staff for help whenever you need it. After all that is what they are here for.
Your switchboard:
Your bedside telephone functions as remote control for TV and radio as well as as nursing call intercom – and, of course, as telephone, thus integrating communication and entertainment in one device.
Earphones:
There is a port for earphones in which you can plug in in order not to disturb other patients. If you do not have your own earphones with you, you can buy some at inpatient admission for € 1.50.
TV / radio:
You can choose from 27 TV-channels. Choice as well as volume control is done via your control centre. Furthermore, you can listen to three radio stations. Of course, we recommend our own station, TeleRadio St Vincenz, which you can also receive via TV (on channel one).
